Cancellations and DelaysTop of Page
Whenever inclement weather is forecast, the Superintendent communicates directly with the Wrentham Police Department, the Wrentham Department of Public Works, the bus company, and the area superintendents to obtain information on the conditions of roads and sidewalks in the town and area.
Safety is always the central issue in the cancellation, delayed opening, or early dismissal of school. If any parent is concerned about the safety of their children on any day school is in session, that parent may choose to keep their children home.
When the Superintendent cancels school, local radio and television stations will be notified. Parents may tune into channels WBZ 4 or Fox on their televisions or channel 1030 AM on their radio.
The Blackboard Connect System will also be used to notify parents of school cancellations.
