The social studies curriculum includes the study of community helpers and several state and federal holidays.
Children will be introduced to the community helpers through dramatic play.
Dramatic play allows the children to 'try on' various roles from the adult world. Through play, children try to make sense of the events happening around them. Social skills develop as children role play.
Some of the areas they will explore are housekeeping, grocery store, dentist, restaurant, vet, shoe store, and post office.
